NQF: Sociodemographic Elements Should Factor Into Quality Measures

The National Quality Forum has released draft recommendations calling to incorporate sociodemographic factors into quality measurements.

The NQF suggests patient factors for risk adjustment should not be limited to clinical issues, as sociodemographic factors such as income, race, homelessness and education also contribute to disparities in care.
