The county’s health department has not identified a common source of the infection, a department spokesperson told the Courier-Post. The cases, which have been diagnosed since late December, are not connected and not linked to one area of the county.

In South Jersey, health officials have seen spikes in hepatitis A in homeless people, particularly those using drugs.

The county health department is urging hepatitis A vaccinations for those who have a higher risk of acquiring the infections and having complications.
