New Jersey becomes 34th state to adopt multistate nursing license

New Jersey joined 33 other states July 19 when Gov. Phil Murphy signed a bill to include the state in the Nurse Licensure Compact, according to NJBIZ.com.

The NLC allows registered nurses and licensed practical/vocational nurses to practice in person or via telehealth with one multistate license in all participating NLC states.

“Making it easier for people to relocate will ensure that our hospitals and clinics remain fully staffed with the best and brightest, not only from New Jersey but from around the country,” said state Sen. Joe Vitale, a co-sponsor of the bill.
