New Bill Would Provide Protection for Nurse Whistleblowers, Create Federal Hospital Standard for Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Il.) has introduced new legislation that would protect nurse-whistleblowers who speak out for enforcement of safe staffing standards and that would establish a federal nurse-to-patient staffing ratios minimum in all hospitals, according to a news release from Rep. Schakowsky.
