Mayo offers flu shot clinics across Minnesota

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System is now offering flu vaccines at nine clinic locations across the state, according to the Austin Daily Herald.

Here are three things to know:

1. Flu shots are available by appointment only at the clinics. Minnesota residents ages 12 and up can also get a flu shot by walk-in only at the health system's Express Care locations.

2. The health system will offer both the flu shot and nasal spray vaccine, although availability may vary by location.

3. The CDC recommends everyone ages 6 months and up receive a flu vaccine by the end of October.
