Genolier, Switzerland-based Swiss Medical Network has become the first healthcare provider in Western Europe to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
Swiss Medical Network joins more than 45 medical institutions globally that collaborate with Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic to improve patient care and outcomes. Organizations involved in the network have access to Mayo Clinic resources and experts who can consult on complex cases.
Through the collaboration, Swiss Medical Network will work to bolster its preventive care programs, nursing education and research efforts.
Mayo Clinic first launched its care network in 2011. Since then, the collaboration has grown to include healthcare organizations across the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Asia, India and Mexico, according to a May 6 news release.
