An internal document obtained by Fox 13 in Memphis, Tenn., revealed the bacteria were initially detected on Aug. 17. There have been no known cases of patients contracting Legionella at the medical center. Hospital administrators told Fox the instance was not a threat to patients and promised to give more information about the medical center’s policies on notifying patients and staff at a later date.
