The National Quality Forum and Joint Commission launched the awards in 2002 to honor John Eisenberg, MD, a founding member of NQF’s board of directors and former administrator of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
The award is broken down into three categories to honor individual achievements, national initiatives and local efforts in quality and safety.
Award winners will be named during NQF’s annual conference in Washington, D.C., next March.
