Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Froedtert ThedaCare is building dozens of townhouses for medical residents on a property adjacent to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah (Wis.), where its graduate medical education program is based.
Three details:
1. The health system is building 56 townhouses in two phases. Construction on the first 28 units began in October and is set to be complete in summer 2026. Construction for the second phase is set to begin in fall 2026.
2. On-campus housing aims to reduce residents’ commute time, support work-life balance and foster peer networking, leaders said in a Dec. 4 news release.
3. The system received accreditation for its GME program in September and plans to welcome its first cohort of internal medicine residents in July 2026.
