The plan would more than double the size of Inova’s medical group. The health system didn’t announce exact physician recruitment targets but said the area could support up to 250 new physicians.
If Inova is able to attract the physicians, it will position the health system favorably under emerging reimbursement models, such as accountable care organizations and medical homes.
