The weakened economy and credit crisis have changed the medical center’s plans — possibly until 2010.
The joint project by Fairview Health Services and the University of Minnesota Physicians had intended to house clinics, outpatient surgery, outpatient chemotherapy, labs, imaging and a pharmacy, according to the report.
Fairview had also hoped to move some adult medical services to the new building to free-up room for the medical center’s new $175 million children’s hospital, which broke ground this past June.
