MetroHealth’s patient-centered medical home will be the basis for the program that will start at University Hospitals, the primary affiliate hospital of Case Western’s medical school.
The federal grant is part of an effort to address a shortage of medical professionals dedicated to caring for Medicaid patients. The grant money will allow MetroHealth and University Hospitals to offer more competitive salaries to physicians who serve poor patients in Cleveland, according to the report.
