Two Oklahoma Hospital Emergency Rooms Merge

SSM Health Care of Oklahoma is combining the emergency rooms at two of its Oklahoma City hospitals, according to published reports.

The hospitals — St. Anthony Hospital and Bone & Joint Hospital — will operate a single emergency room under the St. Anthony Hospital name.  

SSM officials said that structuring both emergency rooms — under one Medicare provider number would allow the facilities to run more effectively, according to a report by the Oklahoman.
