Philadelphia-based Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare will establish a regional medical school campus.
The AtlantiCare Campus will host 40 medical students and is expected to accommodate third- and fourth-year rotating students, according to an April 30 news release. The first class of students will start in August 2029.
The regional campus will address physician pipeline challenges in New Jersey and the Atlanticare health system, the release said. The partnership also provides opportunities for the organizations to collaborate on new research and educational initiatives.
