Tucson (Ariz.) Medical Center has formed an alliance with Optum to strengthen the infrastructure for its accountable care organization, according to a joint news release.
The 612-bed Tucson Medical Center entered an ACO arrangement in 2010 with independent physicians, forming the Southern Arizona ACO. An alliance with Optum is aimed to develop four offices for analytics, technology, contracting and care coordination. It is also designed to advance health data and analytics capabilities, providing tools to help physicians identify best practices and measure performance.
