Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County, which operates Wishard, and the IU School of Medicine reached agreement to transition the physicians from the IU Medical Group-Primary Care practice into the new practice. Eskenazi Medical Group physicians will continue to be members of the faculty of the IU School of Medicine and will treat patients at Wishard and 10 community health centers around Indianapolis.

Providers in the new group will focus on creating a coordinated, patient-centered medical home environment for patients and will be eligible for performance-based bonuses, according to an Indianapolis Business Journal report.

Remaining IUMG-PC physicians who did not join Eskenazi will join IU Health Physicians and will continue to provide medical treatment in the same office locations.
