Emory Healthcare, Select Medical to Form Joint Venture

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare and Select Medical, a post-acute and extended care provider in Mechanicsville, Pa., have signed a letter of intent to form a joint venture.

The organizations are planning to combine some Atlanta-based post-acute services from Emory and Select Medical for a streamlined partnership focused on quality patient outcomes and referral sources.

The partnership is designed to provide coordinated care for Emory patients in need of long-term care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
