MCH’s Frontier Family Medicine Program was approved for nine residents, and the critical access hospital will be working with the Pacific Northwest University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, the release said.
“Montana’s primary care physician work force is the second oldest in the nation,” said Randy Lovell, chief of staff at MCH, in the release. “This program will allow us to ‘grow our own’ and address the acute shortage of primary care physicians in our smallest hospitals and rural clinics.”
