A Benefis Health System spokesperson told USA Today the grizzly bear was “an iconic symbol of Montana.”
“Benefis Health System is honored to be able to display this grizzly in a setting where many people can both enjoy seeing it and learning more about the grizzly bear,” the spokesperson said.
The 3-year-old bear had previously been caught and released earlier this year. The animal was captured Oct. 24 and euthanized the following day, the report states.
