Wayne State students will continue to be trained at Detroit Medical Center, but the partnership will eventually move as many as half of WSU’s 300 medical students to Henry Ford facilities, according to the report.
The two groups are also considering the construction of a biomedical and research facility in the Midtown area of the city as well as a new school of public health.
Henry Ford and WSU first announced a partnership for medical student training in Sept. 2009.
