The goal of the alliance is to use clinical integration to improve health outcomes, patient experience and cost savings. Among its initiatives, the alliance will focus on principles of the patient-centered medical home and meaningful use of information technology.
Spectrum Health includes approximately 900 independent physicians. The system also has a relationship with West Michigan Physicians Network, which includes 375 independent physicians.
