California’s MemorialCare Acquires Community Hospital Long Beach

Community Hospital Long Beach (Calif.) has joined Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System as its sixth hospital in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, according to a health system news release.

Diana Hendel, PharmD, who has led Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach (Calif.) for over two years, will become CEO of the three Long Beach hospitals.

Under the agreement, MemorialCare assumes the lease of Community Hospital from the City of Long Beach.
