MedStar is seeking permission to open an urgent care clinic and physicians’ office in Washington, D.C., and another similar office in Gaithersburg, Md., according to the report.
Adding additional urgent care clinics is part of MedStar’s strategy to move away from providing high-cost care in a hospital setting to providing care in a network of outpatient offices, according to the report.
