Kansas Medical Center in Andover has acquired Cypress Heart, a four-physician practice in Wichita, Kan., according to a Wichita Business Journal report.

KMC will take over the administration of Cypress immediately and physicians will focus their practice at KMC. The merger comes as little surprise to Cypress physicians, who already spend a great deal of time at KMC, according to the report.

“We’ve decided to move our furniture into where we’ve been living,” Roger Evans, MD, senior cardiologist at the practice, said in the report.
