IU Health filed a lawsuit against Dianna Boyer, MD, in Morgan Superior Court, alleging Dr. Boyer violated a non-compete agreement she signed in 2002 with Morgan Hospital. In signing the non-compete agreement, Dr. Boyer agreed that if she ever left Morgan Hospital, she would not establish a practice within 30 miles of Martinsville for two years. Since then, Morgan Hospital had been acquired by IU Health.
Dr. Boyer is leaving her job at IU Health on Aug. 29., to join Franciscan St. Francis Health beginning in September, according to the report. Franciscan is not a defendant in the lawsuit.
