The goal of the program is to fill notable numbers of open positions in the Iowa healthcare system, according to a Nov. 29 news release shared with Becker’s. The students must be in an accredited program and within two years of completion.
The $7,000 scholarship recipients will receive $3,500 a year for up to two years. In return for the financial support, the $7,000 scholarship recipients will work for one year in an Iowa hospital for each year of the scholarship award and the $1,000 scholarship recipients will work one year with hospital-based or hospital-contracted emergency medical services. The application deadline is March 31.
