Illinois’ CGH Medical Center to Acquire Local Clinic

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, Ill., is in the final stages of negotiations to acquire Sterling Rock Falls Clinic, a primary and specialty physician office based in Sterling, according to a CGHMC news release.

The deal in intended to improve physician recruitment and retention and “meet the future demands of a healthcare provider as necessitated by healthcare reform,” according to the release.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The transaction is expected to be complete by Dec. 31.
