Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Alexian Brothers Health System will acquire Cardiovascular Associates, a 17-physician practice based in Elk Grove Village, Ill., according to a Chicago Tribune TribLocal report.
The agreement between the hospital group and practice is expected to be finalized this summer, creating Alexian Brothers Heart and Vascular Institute.
The parties began discussions approximately nine months ago, according to the report. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
