Participants wore white lab coats held up signs resembling gravestone markers with various slogans, including “Trumpcare is a Lethal Disease” and “Silence = Death,” according to the report.
“We as health professionals have to take responsibility for our political education,” said Michelle Morse, MD, an instructor of medicine in the department of global health and social medicine affiliate at Harvard Medical School “If we don’t, we will never achieve our goal of health for all. Healthcare is a human right … why don’t we learn that in medical school?”
Senate Republicans are reportedly close to finalizing their draft of the American Health Care Act. The House of Representatives approved the bill in May.
