George Washington University’s Faculty Practice Plans to Acquire Up to 15 Independent Groups

GW Medical Faculty Associates, the faculty physician arm of George Washington University, based in Washington, D.C., has announced plans to add roughly 450 physicians to its group in the next five years by acquiring independent physician practices, according to a Washington Business Journal report.

GW Medical Faculty Associates is currently negotiating with about 15 different group practices ranging in size from three to 100 physicians, according to the report.
