Florida’s Ocala Health Acquires Primary Care Group, Imaging Centers

Ocala (Fla.) Health System has acquired 25-physician Family Care Specialists and Advanced Imaging Centers, both owned by Advanced Medical Network, which is also based in Ocala, according to a Star-Banner report.

The acquisition expands Ocala’s ability to offer services for the entire continuum of care and may be a move to align itself as an accountable care organization.

The two groups began discussing a deal about a year ago, according to the report. Specific details on the agreement were not released.
