The deal is pending completion of due diligence and final negotiations. Terms were not disclosed.

Pronger Smith is a 60-physician group. Pending approval, the deal would expand DMG’s existing geographic footprint — which spans 475 physicians in more than 70 locations — to include Pronger Smith’s locations. The leadership teams plan to closely collaborate to integrate physicians, employees and patients.

“The physicians at Pronger Smith will remain dedicated to the communities they currently serve while continuing to enhance and grow the principles of doctor-directed medicine. We believe this is a right-fit collaboration that will provide these patient communities access to the best tools possible, including improved technology, resources and support,” DMG President Paul Merrick, MD, said in a statement.
