Today is the deadline for hospitals to submit accountable care organization applications to CMS for the April 1 start date.
The acceptance period began Dec. 1. This round of applications will be either approved or denied no later than March 16.
After today, hospitals can apply from March 1-30 for the Medicare Shared Savings, or ACO, program with a July 1 start date.
