CMS to Hold June 7 Conference Call on Pioneer ACOs

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold a conference call June 7 to review its request for applications for the Pioneer Accountable Care Organization Model.

The model, which was introduced last week, is designed for advanced organizations ready to participate in three-year savings through a more rapid transition. Organizations interested in applying must submit a letter of intent by June 18, 2011 and applications are due by July 18, 2011.

Following the call, telephone lines will be opened so participants can questions to CMS subject matter experts.
