The Transformative Care Continuum is a joint program between Cleveland Clinic and Athens-based Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. The program allows students to complete medical school in three years instead of four. While in school, students work with Cleveland Clinic medical teams. The curriculum was jointly developed by Heritage College faculty and Cleveland Clinic residency directors, according to a May 30 system news release.
“Signing onto the TCC was a leap of faith,” Ken Johnson, DO, executive dean of the Heritage College and OHIO’s chief medical affairs officer, said in the release. “The trailblazing spirit that landed them in the program has also allowed these students to shine in residency. The level of care they are bringing to their patients as they enter practice is of the highest quality.”
Four of the seven new physicians are expected to join Cleveland Clinic.
