Together, the two organizations will develop plans with physician partners, regional employers and health insurers that emphasize global improvements in patient outcomes and expanded access to healthcare. Carondelet and Healthways will also look to find ways to expand Carondelet’s employed and independent physician network and build healthier communities within Tucson.

“In order for our healthcare system to fulfill its mission, it must be visionary — seeking out the most innovative methods by which to serve the needs of the residents for which we are responsible,” Carondelet President and CEO James Beckmann Jr. said in the news release.
