“I expect there will be positive reaction and interest among those likely to qualify,” said CAPG President Donald Crane. He called the Pioneer ACOs, unveiled last week, “a far-sighted and sensible approach to accelerate the adoption of coordinated care.”
“There are many physician groups, particularly in California, that already have a high level of experience and sophistication in coordinating care for patients in a way that lowers costs, improves care and makes populations healthier,” Mr. Crane added. CAPG members represent nearly 60,000 physicians providing care to 15 million people.
