The arrangement, called Aurora Accountable Care Network, will include a price guarantee to employers — something the provider and payor consider “possibly the first of its kind among accountable care models.”
The plans are designed for small- and mid-sized businesses in Wisconsin, but flexible options for large, self-funded employers are also available. Employers have the potential for 10 percent cost-savings on average, based on the employer’s past claims expenses.
The ACO, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2013, includes more than 1,500 physicians, 15 hospitals and 160 clinics.
