Other findings from the report, which asked 500 physicians questions on topics ranging from government regulation to electronic health records to quality of care to compliance issues, include:
- 53 percent of the physicians see the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as detrimental to high-quality care;
- 42 percent are confident the transition to ICD-10 will be smooth;
- 73 percent say EHRs are a distraction to interacting with the patient;
- 89 percent say payors have become more intrusive on the patient-physician relationship.
