Northern Arizona U awarded $21M health equity grant  

Researchers at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff received a $21 million grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, part of the National Institutes of Health, KNAU reported Sept. 28.

The funds will be used by researchers at the university’s Center for Health Equity Research to increase biomedical, clinical and behavioral research for underrepresented and underserved communities in the Southwest, particularly Indigenous nations and communities. The program was initially funded in 2017.
