AANA Honors CRNA Joseph Morel for Advocacy Efforts

Joseph “Mike” Morel, a CRNA and co-director of Huntingdon (Tenn.) Anesthesia, was honored as the 2010 recipient of the Federal Political Director of the Year Award, designed to acknowledge a CRNA who has made significant contributions to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists’ federal agent through grassroots political efforts, according to an AANA news release.

Mr. Moral has served for seven years as Federal Political Director for the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists and has worked close with lobbyists to educate candidates on issues affecting nurse anesthetists and access to healthcare in rural areas, according to the release.
