The four-week course aims to improve the understanding of the Ebola epidemic and implications of the outbreak for the future.
The course, conducted by Ashish Jha, MD, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, will focus on why the outbreak occurred as well as what the global response was supposed to look like and where it fell short. It will also examine the local challenges faced in West Africa as well as solutions for preventing the next pandemic.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is currently in the midst of an Ebola outbreak. It has claimed 33 lives so far.
