2. The North American HAI control market is estimated at $21,319.2 million in 2014 and is expected to reach $34,430.3 million in 2020, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 8.3 percent.

3. Diagnostic techniques are the largest segment in the overall HAIs control market and pneumonia is the largest in terms of diseases.

4. In terms of growth speed, Asia as the fastest growing region, cleaning and sterilization is the fastest growing segment and primary bloodstream infections are the fastest growing type of HAI.

5. STERIS Corporation is a leading player for cleaning and sterilization in the overall HAI control market, with a share of about 25 percent of the cleaning and sterilization market in 2013.
