Einstein Medical Center Montgomery COO wins APIC award

Beth Duffy, COO of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, Pa., received the 2016 Healthcare Administrator Award from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.

The annual award is given to a healthcare executive who champions infection prevention efforts.

In her role at EMCM, Ms. Duffy has helped increase the number of people in the infection control department, educated staff on the importance of infection prevention and led infection prevention action groups.

“Ms. Duffy has been a tremendous supporter of infection prevention and patient safety at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and sets an example for other leaders,” said APIC 2016 President Susan Dolan, RN. “Her backing included allocating appropriate financial and personnel resources to ensure successful implementation of infection prevention initiatives that have improved patient safety and quality of care.”
