The coalition was formed in August and currently includes more than 20 medical societies, healthcare organizations, patient and consumer advocates, researchers, educators and government partners.
“The coalition has received tremendous interest from stakeholder organizations that play a role in the diagnostic process,” said Paul Epner, chair of the Coalition to Improve Diagnosis and executive vice president of the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine. “There is so much energy and desire to bring attention to the issue and drive substantive action to improve the quality of care for patients.”
