CMS Updates Hospital Compare Data, Slight Decreases in Some Hospital Measures

Although national 30-day mortality rates for heart attack have declined 0.3, mortality rates for heart failure and pneumonia increased slightly, showing an increase from 11.2 to 11.3 percent and 11.6 to 11.9 percent, respectively, according to new CMS data.
