AHRQ Releases Pediatric Version of CAHPS Clinician & Group Visit Survey

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has published a children’s version of the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey for clinician and group visits.

The CAHPS Clinician & Group Child Visit Survey 2.0 can be used to assess the experiences of children and their parents during the child’s most recent visit with a provider. The Visit Survey assesses the following patient experience measures:

•    Getting timely appointments, care and information
•    How well providers communicate with patients
•    Helpful, courteous and respectful office staff
•    Patients’ rating of the provider
•    Provider’s attention to the child’s growth and development
•    Provider’s advice on keeping the child safe and healthy
