The plan comes in response to healthcare reform and other changes sweeping the industry. The new strategy will focus on advocacy, quality and patient safety and economic stability for its 167 hospital members, according to the organization.
“The healthcare industry continues to grapple with an array of challenges including increasing demand and regulation and decreasing reimbursement funds,” said OHA Chair Fred DeGrandis in a statement. “By narrowing our strategic focal points, we can have maximum impact on these key areas which will help hospitals and health systems deliver quality healthcare to Ohioans.”
