The pasta salad was sold in Hy-Vee locations throughout Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The outbreak has sickened 21 people across five states, with illnesses occurring between June 23 and July 3. Five individuals required hospitalization.

While epidemiologic evidence points to the pasta salad as the likely source of the outbreak, the investigation is still underway.
