5 Oregon hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Oregon for which 80 percent or more of patients reported on their HCAHPS surveys that their room and bathroom were “always” clean.

Data is from April 2014 through March 2015, the most recent data available from CMS’ Hospital Compare website.

For reference, Oregon’s average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were “always” clean is 74 percent — the same as the national average.

Note: Hospitals with insufficient data, such as having fewer than 100 completed HCAHPS surveys, were excluded.

1. St. Charles Prineville (Ore.) — 83 percent

2. Silverton (Ore.) Hospital — 82 percent

3. Providence Hood River (Ore.) Memorial Hospital — 82 percent

4. Santiam Memorial Hospital (Stayton) — 82 percent

5. Kaiser Foundation Hospital-Westside (Hillsboro) — 80 percent
